A nomination can help us learn about an individual's service, sacrifices, accomplishments, challenges, leadership, family, and life beyond the uniform.
You Do Not Need to Be a Professional Writer
Tell us what you know in your own words. A meaningful nomination does not need to be perfect. What matters is helping us understand who this person is and why their story deserves to be preserved.

What Happens After You Nominate Someone?
Every nomination begins with respect for the individual and the story being entrusted to United Military.
Submit
Complete the nomination form and tell us why this person or family deserves recognition.
Review
Our organization reviews the information submitted and determines whether additional details are needed.
Connect
When appropriate, we may contact the nominator or nominated individual to learn more about their experience.
Recognize
Selected stories may be developed into United Military recognition features with appropriate participation and permission.
