ABOUT UNITED MILITARY

Every Story of Service Deserves to Be Remembered

United Military exists to recognize veterans, service members, and military families by preserving the personal stories, experiences, sacrifices, and legacies behind military service.

Recognition begins by listening to the people behind the uniform.

WHO WE ARE

Preserving the Human Side of Military Service

Military history is made by people — and every person who serves carries experiences that cannot be captured by a service record alone.

United Military was created to help recognize those individuals and preserve the personal stories connected to military service.

We focus on veterans, active-duty service members, military families, and the people whose lives have been shaped by service. Their stories may involve sacrifice and hardship, but they may also be about leadership, friendship, family, resilience, purpose, transition, community, and life beyond the uniform.

By documenting and sharing these experiences, United Military seeks to create a lasting record that families, communities, and future generations can return to.

Behind Every Uniform Is a Person

Our work begins with a simple idea: military service should be remembered not only through dates and records, but through the voices and experiences of the people who lived it.

OUR MISSION

Recognition. Preservation. Connection.

Our mission is to recognize veterans, service members, and military families by preserving personal stories of service and helping those experiences remain part of our shared history.

Through storytelling, recognition, and community participation, United Military works to ensure that meaningful experiences connected to military service are not simply lost with time.

WHO WE SERVE

The People Behind Military Service

Military service affects individuals, families, and communities. United Military seeks to recognize the different people whose experiences form that larger story.

Veterans

We help preserve the experiences, lessons, memories, and legacies of people who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

Service Members

Active-duty, Reserve, and National Guard members may be recognized for experiences, leadership, service, and contributions that deserve to be remembered.

Military Families

Spouses, children, parents, caregivers, and loved ones carry experiences of their own and are an important part of the military story.

OUR APPROACH

Recognition With Respect

Military experiences can be deeply personal. United Military believes recognition should respect the individual behind every story.

Our goal is not to sensationalize service. It is to help preserve meaningful experiences in a way that recognizes the people, families, relationships, and lessons behind them.

Listen First

Every person's military experience is different, and meaningful recognition begins by listening.

Respect the Individual

The person behind the story matters more than creating a dramatic narrative.

Preserve Meaningful Experiences

We focus on the memories, lessons, relationships, and experiences that give personal history meaning.

Connect Generations

Preserved stories can help families and future generations better understand the people who served before them.

OUR VALUES

Principles That Guide Our Work

01

Respect

We approach veterans, service members, military families, and their experiences with dignity and consideration.

02

Integrity

We believe stories of military service should be represented responsibly and without unnecessary exaggeration.

03

Preservation

We believe personal history has value and should be protected for families, communities, and future generations.

04

Community

Recognition becomes stronger when families, neighbors, organizations, and communities participate together.

OUR ORGANIZATION

Accountability Matters
